Born into musical family

Played piano, descant, treble and tenor recorders, saxophone.

Member of school orchestra and choirs

Loved singing from early years onwards

Performed first cabaret at 16 singing 3 songs with live band backing

Subsequent cabarets over 5 years

Joined mum’s function band in early 20’s and then took it over and ran it for further 15 years performing at Masonic functions, weddings, private parties etc

Recorded 2 cd’s (sample songs found on youtube Karen Lee Burnette)

Lead Singer with Rockabilly band ‘Jive Agents’

Lead Singer with Function-pub band ‘5.com’

Present:

Lead singer with ‘60’s band ‘White Plains’

Lead singer with alternative Jazz quartet ‘Band-Its’

and one part of male/female duo covering ‘60’s music ‘Karen & Pete’
